Imagine a shared experience - a baby you never got to meet when there was life within them. This body of work is my response to a deeply moving story about a mother’s loss. What emotions might you feel given the chance to encounter your unborn child in their watery world, swimming together in an imagined sacred womb-like space. It is a visual representation of something unseen and unreal - a moment of beauty that expresses the inseparable bond between mother and baby, even if that bond is broken by loss.
